The Book Arrives (June 25, 2009)

It's been about ten years of writing. Not intensely, but here and there. Letting friends read and react to what I've written. It's only been in the last year that I have pursued publication of God's Choice with a passion. I asked my former pastor and RTS professor, Dr. Dave Dorst, to review the work. I obtained a publisher. The work was much more difficult than I imagined. I revised every chapter. I rewrote sections. Writing is, of course, repeated drafting. I had a writing professor at UWM tell me once that writing never stops - you just come to a spot in your writing where you feel like you need to abandon the document, and let it go. That's what this feels like.
But just when i thought it was off my desk, the proofing began. I have now read my book multiple times, looking for errors and typos. Even the professional proofreader missed some things I (or others) caught later. So, not only did I abandon the work, but was forced to read it over and over again!
But I'm very happy with the final product. I started this project, thinking that I could check off writing a book from my bucket list. Now it's a passion. I've already begun the next one...
